Join the American Banjo Museum for our annual Holiday Event!

Sunday, December 7th join us for our annual "Candy Cane Christmas!"
The American Banjo Museum’s most festive tradition, A Candy Cane Christmas, returns Sunday, December 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM! Celebrate the season with a joyful afternoon of live music, sweet treats, crafts, and—of course—a special visit from Santa Claus!
“Many people don’t know that the museum building (9 East Sheridan Avenue, Oklahoma City) was once a candy factory that made candy canes for the holiday season,” commented museum director, Johnny Baier, adding “To carry on our building’s proud pedigree during this festive time of year – with music and fun and candy canes - seems a natural way for us to celebrate the season.”
The festivities begin with Baier leading favorite Christmas sing-alongs, followed by Tyler Jackson, the museum’s assistant curator, who will be joined by his wife, Kristin. Rounding out the day will be Lucas Ross, the museum’s Outreach and Promotions Coordinator, performing his signature mix of holiday banjo tunes and comedy. Guests will enjoy complimentary holiday treats, create paper banjos in the kids’ craft area, and meet Santa himself—so don’t forget your camera!
Admission to A Candy Cane Christmas is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy supporting the Red Andrews Christmas Dinner. Children 15 and under receive free admission during the event.
