The American Banjo Museum invites “the lovers, the dreamers, and you!” Calling all Muppet fans for “A Very Muppet Sing-Along with Lucas Ross” on Saturday, July 11, at 2:00PM as part of the museum’s current featured exhibition, “Pop! Goes the Banjo!”
Led by Lucas Ross, Outreach and Promotions, this interactive concert celebrates the unforgettable songs and chaotic moments of The Muppets through live music, comedy, storytelling, and audience participation.
The event is presented alongside the museum’s current exhibit “POP! Goes the Banjo!” which features a display of Kermit the Frog holding the promotional banjo from 1979’s The Muppet Movie.
Ross, who serves as Kermit’s “Official Banjo Advisor” (and banjo track performer) is a frequent collaborator for Disney’s The Muppets Studio, with projects including special performances on stage with Kermit at the University of Maryland, involvement with 2026’s THE MUPPET SHOW with special guest SABRINA CARPENTER and on stage when the green guy duetted with WILLIE NELSON.
This concert features beloved songs like “Rainbow Connection,” and “Bein’ Green” as well as memorable moments in his experiences on the road with Kermit. Guests can expect sing-alongs, crafts, and plenty of opportunities to join in on the fun.

While Kermit won't be in attendance, he is currently on display with The Muppet Movie banjo as part of our POP! Goes the Banjo! Exhibit.
The July 11th event serves as a preview of the annual youth program from Ross: BANJO FARM, returning to the museum on August 1.
“A Very Muppet Sing-Along with Lucas Ross” is part of the American Banjo Museum’s ongoing mission to promote, preserve and present the banjo. This special event is free with museum admission and presented with cooperation with Disney’s The Muppets Studio.
